Registered museums in Jiangsu welcomed approximately 140 million visitors throughout 2024, maintaining the top spot nationally as they become popular destinations.

Jiangsu is home to 26 national first-level museums, ranking second in the country. Additionally, the province boasts 40 national second-level museums and 33 national third-level museums, ranking among the top in the nation. Currently, museums across Jiangsu house over 1.2 million items.

In recent years, cultural and creative products from Jiangsu museums have become highly sought after. In 2024, Suzhou Museum, Yangzhou China Grand Canal Museum, Nanjing Museum, and the China Imperial Examination Museum saw annual revenues from cultural and creative products reaching about 117 million yuan, 115 million yuan, 106 million yuan, and 13.83 million yuan respectively, representing year-on-year growths of 28.6%, 86.78%, 80.52%, and 14%. The most popular souvenirs include fridge magnets, hanging ornaments, stuffed toys, and bookmarks. In terms of pricing, products priced between 30 yuan and 90 yuan are the most popular, accounting for 60% of total sales.
